Stop drinking milk and eating dairy products, my brother-in-law and my nephew both had pneumonia this winter that they couldn't kick when finally the pediatrician took my nephew off dairy and it really helped. Something to do with mucus production.
try cough syrups that say cough suppressants and take it as much as the label or the box says. do not take over the required amount. if that does not help then see a walk in clinic that charges twenty five to fourty depending where you live.

that happens sometimes, if this doesnt go away in 2 more weeks then u NEED to go the doctor. You could have a micoplasma infection. mycosplasma is a microbe that causes colds but does not respond to the typical remedies b/c it has no cell wall, so it needs a special anti-biotic to get rid of it.

Do you have a free clinic? I know there is a certain amount of shame associated with free clinics, but you want to be tested for things like TB or bronchitis.

there are clinics out there that are just for people that haven't any insurance and on a tight budget.I had to go to one of those some years ago. They are usually really busy and you may have to wait, but that would be one way of getting a cure.Have you tried Vick's in a humidifier? Make sure to eat plenty of chicken soup with a lot of spices, that one works for me.If you have Bronchitis, you will need to see the doctor.I have heard of persistent coughs turning into pneumonia, and that can take a toll on a person. So one more time, those clinics are cheap and sure would be worth it to keep from having to go to emergency room with pneumonia.
Firstly, throw all of your typical cough syrups with DXM (dextromethorphan) away. Although it CAN get you quote/unquote "high", it has no ability to supress a cough. The advertisers argue otherwise, but research has shown that DXM cures a cough no better than sacraficing a chicken.
As a chemist, I would recommend sacraficing a goat.

If your flem is red/orangish or rust-colored, then go to the friggin' hospital.that's a sign that there is something wrong enough to spend money on. Try Mucinex(the ingredient in Guafenisin), get the plain kind or Mucinex DM. Take 2 in am and 2 in pm and drink lots of water or juice not caffeine drinks. Caffeine is a diuretic. The Gaufenisin needs fluid to thin the secretions and make your cough productive. Also a humidifier will help.
