Ambasol works really well, also you could stick a piece of "cloves" (a spice)use whole cloves in between the tooth that is hurting and the next. You should try to get the Dr. to help you get a payment plan or find a walk in emergency clinic, because if you get an abscess on your tooth, the infection could get into your blood stream really fast and due to the location of the mouth to the brain and the heart this is a very bad thing.
