Is there a difference between an over the counter multi vitamin vs. a prescription for it?
I would like to get something pierced. Any suggestions?
Answers:
prescripted vitamins r specific for problems. for example in certain type of anaemias only vit b12 or folic acid is needed. no need for the whole bouquet.
takin other vits needlessly may cause more harm actually
and fda is not a joke. trust me..

No both are sameNo. Frankly, a prescribed multivitamin Ive never heard of aside from prenatal and that was many years ago.
centrum and these sorts of multivitamins are not what you need for optimal health. Get a multi from a health food store, somewhere where they specialize in health.
My motto: Never buy my health food supplements in the same place i can get my motor oil.
Go where the professionals are.
Most multis that are in the grocery store or local drug store are made to keep you from disease. They are not made to keep you in optimal health. Big difference. Take centrum for instance, it has only enough vitamin c to keep you from scurvy, not to keep you in optimal health.
The FDA ( a joke ) only says we need about 60 mg of vitamin C. In reality, we need several thousands mg's a day.
