2lb maybe more if you have diaherria :)

Fasting increases your weight in the long term.

If you're going to be wacky, why not exercise like all get out instead?

depends really.. if you eat, if you excersice..

A lot, a healthy amount would be 3-4 lbs a week.

There is no guaranteed answer. I have been trying to lose weight. Some days I will drop 3 pounds, other days nothing.

By the way, my pet peeve is when people spell lose wrong. L-O-S-E, as in lose weight, or lose a game.

Loose is hopefully what your pants will be after the five days.
Best of luck to ya!

i say about 20lb

20 lbs.

Honestly I think you'd pass out and be in the hospital on an I.V.

If you ate about 800 calories and burned 1000. You'd still loose a good deal. Probably about 5-7 pounds depend on what's in your colon and how much water weight you normally carry. Whatever you do, please drink plenty of liquids, and don't continue if you feel dizzy. Also don't do it if you're a minor.

None, because you will pass out before the third day ends, become hospitalized and they will force feed you plus the IV will blow you up like a balloon.

(Bad idea, Bad Bad idea..)

Day 1: 3 lbs.
Day 2: 1 lb, since you'd be feeling so sick you wouldn't be able to burn that 1,000 calories.

You would probably lose five or six pounds of WATER weight, but as soon as you started eating again, you'd gain it back faster than you lost it (even if you didn't eat a lot). So you'd gain not only the water weight back, but also extra weight for fat.

When you fast, your body goes into "starvation mode," causing whatever food enters it afterwards to be converted right into fat because your body is preparing for the next time you do something stupid like starve yourself.

The best thing to do is to maintain your current diet and include exercise, even something crazy like burning 1000 extra calories per day. Remember your Basal Metabolic Rate (the number of calories you burn in a day if you were just laying in bed, from digestion, respiration, brain activity etc)! You're already burning 1000+ calories per day just by living.

Recovered from an eating disorder, taken many classes that incorporate nutrition into the curriculum.

Yikes. Please don't do this. much of the weight you would lose would likely probably be water.

If you do "fast" (no food):
-be SURE to drink plenty of water and some juices to replace electrolytes.
-get lots of sleep
-do NOT over-exert yourself or you may pass out (your brain uses glucose to work!)

If you aren't careful, you could really hurt yourself and end up in the hospital.

I have my MSc in Human Health and Nutrition.

I know that you want to lose weight but you will need to eat some to keep energy up. Water tricks your body into thinking that it is getting food so, trick your body! drink water BEFORE each meal. BEFORE because it makes you feel full. Exercise after every carbahydrate-exercising then will turn whatever fat you have into muscle. even though muscle weighs more than fat it looks a hell of a lot better. fat looks horrid!

Your body goes into "starvation mode" if you totally deprive it of food, so you have to trick it. If you made, for instance, cabbage soup, and ate that and salad (just lettuce, no dressing) and exercised about 2 hours a day.I am guessing 4-7 pounds. A lot will be water weight, but your clothes will fit looser.

you might get sick. i think thast qualifies as being anorexic. then when you try to eat again you might puke or pass out. ps it will take alot of will power to not eat for 5 days. be sure to drink alot of water. i eat nothing but cereal and 1% milk and i lose weight in a safe way at a safe pace. i think you will lose 15 pounds cuz i don't think you will be able to stick with it 100%.

That's NOT the way to do it.

What you need to do is get on a healthy diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables. Get a lot of exercise and drink plenty of water everyday.

If you do this, you won't just temporarily lose the wight, but you will keep it off forever.

Agree with the others -- VERY bad idea. You would hurt yourself and all the weight would just come right back anyway.

Try South Beach Diet instead. You can drop about 5-10 lbs in the first two weeks if you take it seriously, but then you slow down to a healthier long term weight loss rate (3 -5 lbs a month) thereafter. It really works.
