will dog flea and tick shampoo kill lice>?

Question:

one of my friends families caught lice and they told me that the shampoo for lice was to expensive, so they said that they were using dog flea and tick shampoo,i was wondering if this really works or not?

some friends of mine told me that they washed their kids hair with it once a week,to keep them from catching head lice at school,they said their doctor told them to do it!so maybe it does!

i am pretty sure that it will not work, unless they get all the eggs out. you can use tea tree oil, too, but you still have to get all the eggs out. i happen to be a little phobic of this subject so i try to learn all i can.

no it doesnt but mayonaise will kill the lice and make the eggs eaisie to get out,but it will not kill the eggs.
