can you use pulmicort and xopenex together in nebulizer treatment at the same time?

Question:

Answers:
For the best results, use xopenex first, then rinse the mouthpiece and the part that holds the medicine. Then use the pulmicort. The xopenex is mainly a bronchiodilator, which opens the airway up. The pulmicort is a bronchiodilator mixed with a steroid, so you will get a better response from the drug if you use this second. I have seen respiratory therapists mix the two medications together, but these were not the therapists I would want helping me or my family. They should be used seperately.

Other Answers:
You should ask your doctor this question. If the doc didn't prescribe it this way then don't take it that way . If you do it could cause you to have an adverse reaction.

no, it is recommended to use separate medicine chambers for them. If not that, then rinse it out well in between with sterile water as they do not mix well in the medicine chamber.

You know who you should ask? A good pharmacist. You don't even need to leave your home, just call them and talk to them. Pharmacists know more about medications then doctors. After all that's what they spent 6 years of their life studying. Good luck!
