What is considered a small portion(of food)?


Question:
i'm suppose to eat 5/6 a day
stated as small portions, i know this probably depends on the body? If not, whats small or big in these cases?

Answers:
A normal portion is the size of your hand.Example, meat (fish, poultry,pork) should be the size of your palm in thikness and size. Fruit and vegtable should be the size of a closed fist.

Now you say "Small" portions. I'd go with 3/4 the size of normal portions, if your already close to that.if you're used to going to a resturant and eatting everything, you may want to start with a normal portion until your stomoc shrinks.

One piece of meat and one serving-spoonful of a side dish. no more than 2 side dishes per dinner
