What is the normal time between periods?

Question:
I've had 2 per month for the past 3 months and it's really starting to irritate me. (Basically they start at the end of the month and run into the beginning of the next month.) Before this recently started happening, it only happened once in like 7 years.
Is there anything that can make it stop without going to a doctor? (I would imagine not but it won't hurt to ask.)

And please, if you don't have a decent answer, don't bother posting one.

Answers:
I had the same thing happen once when I was really stressed out. I spoke to my general practitioner about it (not an OB/GYN) and she put me on birth control just to regulate my hormones. Most general practitioners will be able to give you a few months' supply worth of samples, so you don't even need a prescription, and (if you're worried about it), your mom might not even have to know.

Other Answers:
you should only have your period once a month. And the reason for the changeing dates between them is probaly because your hormones are tring to get stable.

Going to your OB/GYN is the best way to rule out serious health issues, some of which may be life threatening! GO, OK!! After that is checked into and nothing major is going on with you, then you can approach this in a more natural way. Hormonal changes can cause these kinds of problems and there are many natural products that could help. PLEASE GO GET A CHECK UP FIRST THOUGH!

My own health issues and a natural health background.

A normal period cycle is 28 to 34 days in between. I've never had more than one period a month, but I have skipped a few. Maybe you could just call your doctors office and speak to a nurse? I usually do this, and they can give you advice over the phone.
