Being sick is a great time to read, play video games,internet surfing (like you are doing now) learn something new. Man, being sick can be an opportunity!!

The best way to pass time quiker is just notice what is happening to your body and mind.You just try to concentrate your mind on your mind itself and body only.
There are two distinct things in your body. The first is your own physical body. The second is your mental state. You may think both of them are only one. However to your surprise, they are not one, in fact, if you notice what's going on you, there are two different phenomena. The first one, you body and its parts, go on behaving by their own ways,and the second, your mind also keep on going its own way. You may think you are controlling them. But actually nobody can't.
When you falls sick, just try to follow the way your body does with the notice in your mind, mindfulness. You have to notice all parts of your body. But at first, you try to notice only one part. For example, you just notice the way your nose works. First, you inhale the air, and then exhale it. If you notice it carefully, you see the impermanance. You cannot control the way you breathe. It goes by its own way. All parts of body do the same. The amount of heat, the amount of air, water, oxygen, carbondioxide, the enzyme etc will control your body's work. But you mind's work is self-controlled. If you keep on noticing like this, you become involved in it. And later, you will be concentrating on all parts of you body.
While noticing it, on the other hand, you mind will go away from you. For example, your mind will start to think the date you first went out with your gf or bf. And you try to refocus it to analyze how the air pass your nose softly in and out. And you will find the impermance of your body and mind. You cannot controll it first, But if you practise more and more, you will be able to understand what is your body and your mind, what is wrong where in your body and mind, and then you will try to improve your current state of body and mind. By doing so, you will manage your time pass regularly, neither too fast nor too slow. If you feel your time pass quick or slowly, you are still wrong.
So just try to stay at this present moment and you life becomes successful both in peace of mind, in health of body, and in terms of both material gain and mental successes. But all human beings, including you and me, have to die or pass away from this life, which shows the impermanence of the body and mind. So before experiences this, we have to be as mindful as we can to pass this life or time in a correct way.

Sleeping really is the best use of your time when you are ill. Try to relax too, and maybe read a book.
