How Effective Are Latex Condoms in Preventing HIV?

trying to find out if a pill I have is vicodin?

Answers:
Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing heterosexual sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Research on the effectiveness of latex condoms in preventing heterosexual transmission is both comprehensive and conclusive. The ability of latex condoms to prevent transmission has been scientifically established in laboratory studies as well as in epidemiologic studies of uninfected persons at very high risk of infection because they were involved in sexual relationships with HIV-infected partners. The most recent meta-analysis of epidemiologic studies of condom effectiveness was published by Weller and Davis in 2004. This analysis refines and updates their previous report published in 1999. The analysis demonstrates that the consistent use of latex condoms provides a high degree of protection against heterosexual transmission of HIV. It should be noted that condom use cannot provide absolute protection against HIV. The surest way to avoid transmission of HIV is to abstain from sexual intercourse or to be in a long-term mutually monogamous relationship with a partner who has been tested and you know is uninfected.

Male to female or Male to male - pretty much as close to 100% that you will get other tahn abstainance (there is the risk of it breaking which is why I don't think they are 100%)

Female to male - would have to be slightly less because there is the risk of vaginal fluids making contact with unprotected skin.

What are the causes of Bipolar Affective Disorder?

It would depend on the study that you are asking about, some studies range as low as 70% while some range as far as 95+%. Anyone that tells you 100% is 100% incorrect, even if used correctly, and for those that think I am wrong, have you ever seen one break?

why does my back kill me?

they are VERY EFFECTIVE.. and dont double it.. it hurts both people.. also check for any holes or little cracks..

if you haven't .. do a HIV test now and 6 moths later do another one because it takes about 6 months for your body to create antibodies trying to kill HIV..so it takes 6 months in order to actually know you have HIV.. and get tested annually or 2 times a year and also your partner (s)

DO NOT use the animal skins condoms or nature condoms.. they have little pores and HIV is VERY VERY small and can get through very easily..
