Many drugs are helpful. But they cannot be obtained without significant cost. Take Codeine. It is by far the best drug for a cough, yet you must go to a Doctor for Codeine cough medicine and odds are the Dr. will prescribe something less helpful and more expensive. As a migraine medicine, I have found no better. One used to be able to buy Codeine cough medicine at the local drugstore for about $2 dollars. For migraines my Doctor prescibes Imitrex, which is so expensive he recommends I split the pills in half to save money. The company claims this is dangerous and says you should pay the full price.
