Cycle changed from 30 days to 25 days, is this normal??
I have always had a regular monthly cycle of 30 days. I gave birth to my daughter via c-section on 10/29/05 and had a 30 day cycle from December (I got my first period 6 weeks after having her) until February. The the last 2 cycles I have had have been 25 days. Is it normal to have your cycle change like this after having a baby? We are going to try again for another in July so I really want everything to be ok for that. I talked to my doc about it and they won't see me for an appt until May so I am just trying to get some opinions before I go in! Thanks!

It is very normal for your cycle to change after birth. Your body's hormone levels are trying to go back to normal from pregnancy. If it fluctuates more than a week then you might need to let your doctor know. You should be ok.

Yes, it's normal.I think it's normal. There is nothing wrong with me, and mine fluctuates all the time. It varies by a week or more every month, just whenever the mood hits it I guess. It also manages to move up or down a week, depending on anything important thats going to happen just to inconvenience me.

There are many reasons why cycles can vary including stress, weight gain/loss, infection, medication, hormonal imbalance, thyroid, polyp, cyst, amongst other reasons. Your doctor can do futher testing to see what the exact cause may be.Source(s):

I have had 2 children and sometimes it takes a while to get back to normal or you may stay at 25 days. Before I had my first son I went for seven days but after I only went for three to five days and stayed that way, It might change after the second one but I'm not sure yet I just had my second on March 16, but I can let you know if it's any different.

I had my son by c section, it took me awhile to get back a normal cycle. there is nothing wrong with you. But if you suspect anything thats wrong, I would go see your doctor to see whats going on.More Questions and Answers
