Anything to help me?

Usually when I'm down and out I put on a really great movie that I love. Even thought I have seen it a million times it always helps to have it just playing in the background while I'm doing something else around my place.
Going out for a walk, big or small, really helps as well. Just going around the block is enough just to kick start your mood into a positive one.
Another tip if your sad is to not eat any sugar or carb type foods cause this will make your even more sad in the long term. Snack on veggies and protein to keep your modd positive.
I have other suggestions but I'm not sure what you like to do.for instance signing works for some people. Playing a game on the internet works just to get your mind off of whatever it is making you sad, this helps to "deprogram" you temporarly.
Thinking of hanging out on a beach someplace like California, Florida, Mexico with some hunky guy. It's always nice to dream. Gets you away from realty.
The one last thing I tend to do when I'm sad is take really long deep breaths in and out.this really relaxes me and puts me in a better mood.
How you do this is breath in deep from your stomach, not just your throat using your nose then breath out through your mouth letting all of the air out. Do this about 5-6 times and see how you feel. it is a great way to clear your mind.
All the best and god luck. I hope this helps!

movies are like medicine for me when im sad or depressed. try getting either one of your favorite movies or a new one. anything you know that you will really get into. if you dont like that idea, you can read a book, or pray. those also help me. hope you feel better!
Have a good cry to let those feelings out.
how about a big bowl of choc. ice cream with oreos.
What got you into this mood? Usually I try to read my bible, listen to christian music, play with my kids, think of all the good things in my life, count my blessings!! Go for a walk, do some exercise. Blessings.
music, especially starting off with sorta sad mellow stuff and gradually pep it up until it's happy music, it'll make you feel better. Or just go straight to the happy music. I like stuff like "staying alive" and "walking on sunshine". Corny, but it gets a smile on my face. Good luck!
Comfort foods such as chocolate, ice cream or something that brings back old fond memories like home made cookies. Sweet foods also temporarily raise the endorfins and give a sense of quick satisfaction - hence the old ice-cream after a break up. Remember moderation is the key! I hope you feel better.
hay go to a joke sight' when I'm sad all i have to do is read some good joke's pretty soon im laughing my bunn's off' try joke's.com they have some winners '''''''''''''and god bless' oh and pray that always help's too

"The Psychological Benefits of Exercise
The psychological benefits of exercise are often overlooked. Todays society greatly focuses on the physical benefits of exercise, such as weight loss, toned muscles and six-pack abs. Although these are remarkable benefits, the psychological benefits can be just as, if not more significant than the physical benefits dependent on your needs and goals.
How Does Exercise Cause Psychological Changes?
Many theories about the psychological benefits of exercise have surfaced from exercise physiology and sports psychology. One common area of study is neurochemistry. Scientists believe that when exercising, chemicals called endorphins are produced in the brain and released into the body. The word endorphin is abbreviated from the phrase endogenous morphine which means morphine produced naturally by the body (www.biotech-usa.com). Endorphins are thought to relieve stress and pain naturally, giving one an euphoric and invigorating feeling. This is also known as runners high. Other theories focus more on the indirect effects of exercise. A popular opinion is that exercise may create a distraction and provide an outlet from everyday sources of stress, therefore positively enhancing ones mental condition. Also, another thought is that muscle tension tends to be reduced after a good exercise session and this can promote a feeling of relaxation and calmness.
What are the Psychological Benefits of Exercise?
There are many psychological benefits of physical activity. The most common are listed below:
Decreased Daily and Chronic Stress: Exercise is one of the best ways to decrease stress. As stated above, exercise can help relieve stress by the release of endorphins and/or by creating an outlet from daily tension and anxiety. With less stress, many individuals will begin to feel more energized and alive. An exercise session is a great time to watch television, listen to music or read a good book or magazine.
Improved Self-Confindence and Body Image: Today, many people are unhappy with their physical appearance. By exercising regularly, most people will begin to see positive physical change. When individuals start seeing these results, they tend to be proud of their success and feel good about who they are. Many times this enhances body image perception and self-confidence.
Enhanced Moods: Exercise makes most people feel good and when people feel good, their moods seem to elevate. Whether this is due to the release of endorphins or providing a distraction from daily stress, many studies show that regular exercisers have a more positive outlook and are happier overall in comparison to the inactive population.
Alleviate Depression: Studies show that regular exercise can greatly alleviate and in some cases prevent the symptoms of depression. The exact physiological reason is unknown, but scientists believe that enhancing body image, elevating moods and improving ones health and physical appearance can all help boost self-confidence and create a feeling of success, therefore alleviating depression symptoms.
Increased Mental Alertness: Stress and fatigue negatively affect concentration, comprehension and memory. Since exercise is a great way to alleviate stress and increase energy levels, a regular exercise routine will enhance mental alertness and can improve overall mental health.
Feeling Great Overall: One of the best psychological benefits of exercise is just feeling great overall. One could argue that this is a physical benefit of exercise, however the psychological benefits greatly contribute to this overall great feeling. The combination of increased self-confidence, decreased stress, better moods, less depression and increased mental health in addition to all of the physical benefits should make anyone feel great.
Regardless of why or how the body psychologically adapts to exercise, the main point is that exercise not only improves physical health, but also mental health. Uniting the physical and psychological benefits of exercise will definitely help enhance the quality of life. "
