My mother smokes and i wish she would quit.
It is nasty and it kills.
She quit for a long time and then when my father left she started up again and that was a couple years ago.
I need some advice on how i could help her quit.what should i tell her?
She doesn't think there is a point to quit.

Answers:
Here are some ideas:

Tell her to get a patch..
Try to give her the facts.
Tell her you don't want her to also die..
Stay away from her and if she asks tell her that you dont want her to smoke.

Hope this helps..

Good Luck

Other Answers:
It is her life her choice. There is nothing you can do. It has to be her choice her decision. But you can pray for her.

I just quit back in December, until she gets ready you are just wasting your breath. Keep encouraging her but don't pressure her. Good luck.

well i just quit cause my son kept telling me he wanted me to quit he dont want me to die and it made me think i was being selfish

my mom smokes too. i always bug her about it but she doesn't even try to quit! i wish i could help you and my mother

Tell her you want her around to see you get married, and see your children. Also tell her the good things about not smoking, more energy, less colds, and she'll feel and look younger if she doesn't smoke. Ask her to try quiting with the patch

Her quality of life will improve if she quits smoking. She'll have more money to spend on other things. Her health will be better. People won't be put off by her odor. She may even make new friends! There are many benefits to quitting smoking.

If she doesn't want to quit, she's not going to. Nothing you do or say will change that.

I know.
Lost my mother to smoking related disease when I was only 38 and she was only 74. She had smoked since she was 13 and could never quit. My DAD died at age 71 from lung cancer .
Same thing.

Tell her how important SHE is to you.
After her husband walked out--her self-esteem was smashed to smithereens and if there was another woman involved, then it is even worse for her inside her head and heart!
Been there, am there and it still hurts 2 years later.

A dear friend beat smoking by using the National Institute Against Nicotine Addiction program, NIANA it is called, and most big cities have it available across the USA.
One shot in the arm, one pressure shot behind each ear, and a packet of white nerve tablets for a month. As long as she does not have a fibrillating heart, and can pay the 450.00 and has a regular physician write the prescription for the course of treatment, she will be accepted.

They have a tremendously HIGH success rate--in the 90 percentile, I think. And a Guarentee for retreatment!

It is incredible.
There are no side effects that one normally experiences.
NO withdrawel, NO weight gain, NO Crabbiness!!

My friend is one of the most addictive personalities with both parents being alcoholics, and if HE can do it, ANYONE can do it.

Just tell her how much you love her, how you want to help her, and how important she is to YOU.

Love conquers all.

Good Luck, and keep her tender heart in your nightly prayers..I will, too.
blessings--Someone's Aunt Susie
