What is a good cure for eczema?

Question:

Answers:
Well, there is no cure!! I have it and I live on allergy medication. My allergist said that whatever I'm allergic to is whats directly causing my eczema on my hands. I know that I shouldn't just keep taking allergy pills, but I couldn't keep taking the prednisone steroid I was given. I had to choose between the lesser of two evils.

There isn't a cure for eczema. If there is I would like to know also because my daughter has it. Your doctor can presribe stronger form of cortisone cream which keeps it at bay. To prevent it from flaring up, drink plenty of water, use a humidifer, and consistently apply moisturizer to your skin daily. Eucerin is the best but shea butter also works well. If the eczema becomes extreme your doctor may suggest steroid shots.

I had to find out what I was allergic to and then it was easier to keep the flare-ups at bay.

I also use a prescribed cortizone cream mix that stops the cycle.
