How do I do corn rows?

I am Hispanic. I am trying to do cornrows in a black man's head. I know how to french braid. Are there any special instructions that I need to know?

I also need to know how to clean up/hide/striaghten up loose hairs.

i do my corn rows 30" wide with a 9 inch seed spacing. that puts around 19000 plants down per acre.

If you can imagine parting a long section of hair, starting a braid with a subsection of it and continuing it, but picking up hair as you go along the section, then that's basically it. I agree with N_Joyin_Life and goodie. They have the main idea down. use some moisturizer to take care of the stray hairs.
