what should i do when i'm really frustrated?

Question:

Answers:
well what makes you happy and tranquil? some say using those stress balls (the ones you squeeze when your mad help, but there have actually been studies that have proven that to be wrong. using things to take your aggression from frustration out on is actually counterproductive in the sense that it actually make you more prone to being frustrated in the future because you're actually venting your frustration rather than finding a way to calm yourself down. it depends where you are but if you're somewhere you can do this, just walk into a room and turn off the lights the darker the room the better hopefully you can find a room that is pitch black when the lights are out. just walk into that room, cut the lights and quietly take a couple of deep breaths until you've calmed down. then quietly turn the lights back on and walk out of the room.

Other Answers:
i would go for a walk to calm dwn or clean and liston to music or read or do something to get my mind off of the frustration

I normally get out of the house and scream my head off. That usually works for me.

well sometimes I feel frustrated when I think I have a good answer but it isn't rated as a best answer.

At that time, I will take a break, taking some deep breaths, listening to my favorite music, have some favorite snack, etc. Having exercises is good idea. Screaming sounds good, as long as the environment allows. Tearing some used paper or using squeez ball are also good ways to relieve the negative feelings, even though I haven't tried them yet.

Then when I calm down, I will do some self talk, like "It is not surprising that not everything goes my way." "Not being selected as the best answer doesn't mean my answer is not good."

Then I will look back into the other answers to the same question, and sometimes I will find that I am really learning something useful from other answers. Then I will rate the best answer selected. Whether I rate it good or bad, I feel that I am doing something to support this question/ category. Then I will feel better, and continue answering questions to the best I can.
