how old are u? i had braces when i was in highschool and i think it was the best move ever! i think a smile is so important and when you have nice straight teeth, you look so mcuh nicer and feel so much more confident. who cares if it is a turn off now, in a couple of years you'll be a sex god!! ;)
ps my sister got her braces when she was 24 and my other sister got hers when she was 16. they've both got them off now and they are sexy beasts! and so much more confident!
