I straighten my hair once a week but it looks so dry. Any suggestions?

Question:

Answers:
drench it in mayonaise for about 30 min. to an hour and clip it to the top of your head- then rinse

Also- I used to do this and get so many compliments onhow healthy my hair looked- shampoo as usual- then use a deep conditioner, but rinse it out in cold water (as cold as you can stand it) that really works and leaves your hair so silky

Other Answers:
Get a moisturising conditioner and use it about 3 times a week. It will repair the damage done from straightening. I recommend getting something professional..like from a salon. Nexxus has a great one.so does BedHead. Good luck!

I straighten my hair too.
I work for a professional salon.

Go for a hair treatment. Or apply leave on hair moisturizer on damp hair, blow dry till its slightly damp then let hair dry naturally. Try loreal professionnel lumi oil.

I straighten my hair all the time too but my hair is not dry at all. You should get yourself a good quality ceramic straightener, don't blow dry it. I have the superstar straightener and it works great.. no damage on my hair whatsoever. I will add the link to a place where they sell it so you can see what it looks like, but I think you can definitely find it for cheaper. I bought it for 99 bucks.. try ebay maybe :o)

1. Shampoo with Finness
2. Condition with Herbal Essence
3. Use VO5 oil treatment
4. Avoid excessive heat from the dryer.

mousse

Before you straighten your hair theres this stuff you can buy called heat tamer it will keep your hair from getting damaged. You can also get pro conditioner but, only put it on the ends of your hair it's called Sleek it is awesome. If that doesn't work you can get frizz remover I truthfuly think it puts alot of oil in your hair though. I think you might see a difference.

GOOD LUCK!!

i straighten my hair too.. not that often now because it damaged my hair, but what i do is use a lot of conditioner
also, to avoid frizziness and all that, i blow dry my hair wearing a scarf or something on my head.. that keeps my hair smooth
and then i straighten it and it looks great

me

straightening ur hair is really bad
lay it off

My hairdresser threatened me if I didnt use BioSilk :/ I have very curly hair but I use a flat iron everyday.

pantene pro-v it works my hair is never strait and i hate that so i use pantene it works really well

i hear ya! making sure you maintain it by trimming off split ends fairly regularily is important. You should try Redken all soft heavy cream. You only need to you it like once a week and you're set. Redkens a little expensive but its not like u use it every day and it's worth it, trust me!

Im a hairdresser. so personal experience

I do it daily. there's somthing that's vital, i guess. it's not really the product what matters, but the way you use it, because there's are products like l'anza strait-line that is a system of 4 products, but most of the people use only 1 or 2, the clue is using the entire system.
there are cheaper products, or systems, like VIVE Smooth-Intense System, it really works. strait-line from l'anza also works, but VIVE is cheaper.
good luck!

always use a protective spray when ironing hair, try treseme heat tamer which i found adds shine and is actually conditioning to the mane, when finished, try a light coating of sammy glossing spray, awsome stuff!!
