I have a huge ego, and I feel like I'm worthless because of it. Is this even possible?

Question:

Answers:
What an ego you have indeed. Look at you, making all these people the butt of your little joke. I'll bet you're laughing your a** off too aren't you.

You think you're soooo smart, don't you? lol

Other Answers:
maybe, since you feel your the best and no one is better than you.but that is ok, if you dont think that then who will.

You go girl.

YES it is sooo possible. Huge egos are caused by insecurity/low self esteem because the huge ego is used to try to make you feel better about yourself.

it's possible do some voluntary work it'll straighten you out

You are beautiful and a great person, you don't have to stress this to the people around you, be kind, simple, and caring, you'll see the results

The fact that you "feel worthless" shows that you are aware of your ego problem. The first step in fixing any problem that you see in your self (and want to fix) is admitting this. If you do not want to be "egotistical" anymore, just be aware of things you do and say that seem egotistical.

And it is never a bad thing to love yourself and have confidence in who you are. The difficulties come when these thoughts affect how you interact with other people. If you are a warm, caring person that does not constantly brag about yourself, it is not egotistical. Too few people find things to appreciate in themselves. Have self confidence but don't tell everyone about it. I have confidence you'll do just fine.

Yes. Your ego is always your enemy. By definition it can't help you do want you want in life, because it has no intrinsic value and doesn't contribute anything.

It's tempting to hold onto it because you see others with it - but neither does it help them - even though outwardly they may appear to be happy or successful.

Your own value always has to come from within. Imagine your ego as something like heavy baggage - just drop it.

You are not worthless because of it, but Pride will keep you from attaining true happiness.

". Motivated by great pride, one searches constantly to improve ones reputation, to be recognized as somebody very important, someone well known for ones ability. More and more out of control, ever more confused, one accumulates karma which grows more and more negative."

well, my friend feels the same way.

She creates all these little schemes where in the end, she ends up being center of attention. then she says she hates herself for it.

i told her to spend a few minutes every day and think of what everyone does for her. The people that she couldn't live or function without. it should help humble yourself.
