I have been up all night coughing. help?


Question:
I am fine all day then night time hits and i cough . I start around 9 PM and keep myself and family up with it .. I have tried everything around the house and even my husbands prescription cough med. nothing stops it.. I start to feel like I am through and relax, then I wake up coughing. my sinus is clear , but .

Try proping your head up with more than one pillow. Sleep in an almost upright position. If there is anything being coughed up, drink plenty of water to loosen it.

Try either sleeping on your stomach - lying on my back seems to almost induce the coughing. If you are coughing alot you may have bronchitis - an inhaler might also be able to help.

Try going to a doctor, I've heard great things!

Maybe you're allergic to the fluff from the pillows. Maybe the air in the bedroom is to dry, it must be around 70% relative humidity, try to change that ( air moisturizer etc.). Tea from laurel leaves, max.2 leaves/cup and max.2 cups a day. Boil a lemon 10 minutes, put the juice in a cup, fill it with honey and take two or three teaspoons each time you'll need.
