How can I keep my hands moisterized?

Question: When winter comes around, my hands get very dry. Lotion doesn't work for very long. What are some ways to keep my hands from getting so dry?

I live in Michigan where winter is absolutely horrible to hands. on top of that I'm also a bartender my hands are in water all the time. The only lotion I have found to actually keep my hands from drying out is Melaleuca's Renew.

Cornhuskers lotion at night with gloves or socks and lots of water.

Thick coat of Vaseline and drink plenty of water.Most lotions have form of alcohol and so many other chemicals they add to dryness.
