Bug Bite Or Boil ?

Question: This past Monday when I woke Up I had a Stinging Sensation On my right forearm and I Scratched it,That evening the Bite Started getting red and Spread from my wrist to my Inside elbow.On Tuesday Morning It got worse and Itched alot,Redness,Swelling.I tried to Doctor it at home and No hope.By Wednesday Morning,The redness was worse and The Swelling was also.I went to the Doctor and he said 'It did Not look like a Spider Bit,But was Not sure' Gave me a Shot of Antibiotics and Drew Blood for a CBC,That came back All clear..I have been On the Antibiotic for About two days and Now all Redness is gone except for the Bite area and it has a Small Brownish Center..I have been Soaking In Warm water for 2 days,3xs a day and So far all the Infection is at the Bite area,Still Itching some But nothing is coming Out! It is driving me Insane.The Swelling is going down (Thank You Jesus) But I was told Not to Pick at it,That it will Do its thing on its Own..Any Suggestions??

Leave it alone!! If you mess with it, another infection can develop! keep up what you're doing, and if it would make you feel better put some TAO (topical antibiotic ointment) on it. this may also reduce the localized itching!

Could also be a shingles eruption if you have pain also. Try soaking it in epson salts and warm water or use Caladryl cream on it.

sounds like a bug bite. leave it alone and bandage and use a neosporin cream.

Go to your local pharmacy and ask them about a "Drawing Salve". It is a blackish thick paste that you apply to the wound. If there is anything in it this will get it out without you having to pick at it. Also you've only been on antibiotics for two days, give them some time to do their job. Hope you feel better.
