wat should b used rather dan toothpaste 2 whiten teeth plz no gettin teeth cleaned 4m d dentist but plz recommend somthing so dat i hv absalutely white teeth!
shinin white teeth plz do tell!!

Answers:
The teeth are normally white in color. However, due to exposure to bacterial and chemical action, teeth lose their color. So, the best way is to take preventive care--Brush your teeth well. Keep your tongue clean. If possible, brush after every meal, or at least gargle well to remove small food particles from between teeth. You can also use dried pomegranate peels and neem's leaves. For absolutely white teeth, one more thing is required--appropriate fluoride content in your teeth. That only a dentist can advise you, because both excess and deficit of flouride leads to color loss.

Other Answers:
No, you're teeth are not normally "white" in color. People that get dentures and pick out truly white teeth are never able to hide the fact they have dentures because natural teeth are just not 'that' white. Reasons for this include the fact that enamel is translucent, therefore the dentin (which is yellow in colour, shows through. Another reason is that the further in the mouth you go back, the less white your teeth are simply because they aren't exposed to light like the teeth in the front are.

If you're looking to keep your teeth white without going to the dentist then really all you can do is brush and floss reguarly and avoid stain causing products such as smoking and drinkng dark beverages such as coffee, tea and dark colas.

I must, however, recommend you see your dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and exam. Not only will the cleaning remove tarter build-up that you are not able to clean yourself, but it will also remove extrinsic stains on your teeth so they do appear whiter. Also, by seeing your dentist regularly, he or she will be able to detect any cavities or other problems in the oral cavity in the early stage of development making the problem easier to treat.

Simply queen, I find that when I keep my teeth healthy like flossing daily brushing after major meals my teeth stay pretty white. I mean not bleach white, but very healthy looking. So try that along with regular check-ups!
