If you have low blood pressure and have been dizzy for three weeks, will high salt intake really make u better
Question:
Answers:
salt will increase blood pressure---but if you have a heart condition, your doctor might not want you having salt. If you have been dizzy for three weeks, go see your doctor. You probably should have gone to see him three weeks ago. Low blood pressure needs to be controlled, just like high blood pressure. When blood pressure gets too low, it can cause all kinds of problems, like strokes. Not trying to freak you out, but you should see your doctor, to find out what your blood pressure is.
Other Answers:
Yes, it could. But check with your doctor. If you have heart problems, sometimes they limit salt.
what? there are many reasons why someone has high blood pressure. taking salt is probably not the smart thing to do. most people i know with high blood pressure are not allowed alot of salt.
I would check with your doctor first, but I had this problem in my late teens and my doctor actually told me that if I was feeling dizzy due to low blood pressure (mine was as low as 90 over 55 on some days) that I should literally lick some salt off my hand. It helped sometimes, although, yuk.
Yes, but check with your doctor
A high salt diet is NEVER a good thing!!
Go and see a docter ASAP
increased salt intake will increase your blood pressure, but it's not the best solution. when you have an increased salt intake, you will reabsorb more water in your kidneys, so your volume will increase.
go to see a doctor to find an other solution, because it can be a solution for a while but it can't last as one.
Dehydration could be the cause, so could anemia, or a number of other things. Please ask your doctor. Low blood pressure is an indicator that something's wrong - kinda like a fever is an indicator of illness. You need to find out why your blood pressure is low and how to fix it.
A high salt diet will increase your blood pressure, but check with your MD first.
no man, come on, thats not a cool way, since u dont know exactly what cause that.. Better go to your doctor, they sure know what to do, dont automedicate your self, it can become in a worst problem
i think you might be diabetic. have someone check your blood sugar. to much salt will make it go way up and that's not normal. you also might have low iron count in your blood. have Dr give you a blood test to make sure.
