15 yr olds should be "dating" at school. At 16 is when most kids start dating outside of school like going to the movies etc. 12 year olds should not be dating at all.thats way too young to even be thinking about having sex or dating - focus on your schoolwork!

that age gap is a serious problem for me. At 15 he is exposed to a totally diffrent world than she is. And he is learning how to drive and beginning to get more freedom. I mean the kid is about to be in high school and she just got into middle school. He has the potential to ruin the girl and I think that she should wait until she is 16 to start dating.

I think it's normal, but I think the 12 year old needs to be strong and secure so they are not pressured into things that 15 year-olds are pressured into. My opinion is that a 12 yr old is less likely to stand their ground and more likely to give in because they want to be accepted and liked by the older person. In my experience kids that experiment too much at that age start acting out in other ways to compensate for the feelings that don't understand. In closing if both kids are responsible, "dating" is a healthy way for young people to develop their social skills and both could gain confidence. However I hate to say this, but they should probably be supervised at ALL TIMES.

If supervised by consenting parents and if it does not become "physical" I think it's great to lose any romantic notions about relationships. Just so long as both kids have it impressed upon them that they cannot judge all relationships but this one.

It depends more on the motives of the people involved than anything else, if you both really like each other and can see the relationship continuing after you've left school then I don't see a problem. BUT if you're just going out for the hell of it I wouldn't recommend that at any age.
