Female Question: I got my period May 17-20..and now I have it again. What's going on?
Question:
I've never had my period reoccur within a 2-wk span and I'm alarmed. I have mild cramping this time, which is also unusual.
I'm a 27 yr old female, healthy though slightly overweight. I'm sexually active though haven't had sex in several months & I'm not taking birth control.
What could be causing this? Please help if you can - thanks!
Answers:
I HAD NEVER HAD 2 PERIODS IN A MONTH (WELL BLEEDING TWICE A MONTH) BUT I DID SO WHEN I WAS HAVING A MISCARRIAGE.
HAVE YOU REALLY NOT HAD SEX OR HAVE YOU? IF YOU NEVER DO THIS LIKE I NEVER DID THEN I KNOW YOU ARE THINKING SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOU AND YOU ARE PROABLY RIGHT.
TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST.
A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks and it is nature's way of ending a pregnancy that is not developing normally. The length of the pregnancy will effect the number and severity of miscarriage symptoms.
A miscarriage that takes place shortly after conception can occur as a slightly late, slightly heavy period. Symptoms can vary from person to person, but there are common ones that generally occur:
Bleeding. This can range from brownish spotting to heavy bleeding. It is important to note that many women experience spotting or bleeding during pregnancy and about 50% of the time, the pregnancy progresses normally.
Pain or cramping in the lower abdominal area. The pain could be on just one side, both sides, or in the middle. You may also experience pain in the genitals, lower back, thighs, or buttocks.
You may notice that pregnancy symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness have subsided or lessoned. Be aware that some women do not notice any change in these symptoms, while others do.
Some women say that didn't "feel right" just prior to their symptoms.
If you are pregnant and experiencing symptoms you should contact your health care provider. If any of the following symptoms occur you should go the Emergency Room immediately:
Heavy bleeding
Passing clots or something that looks like tissue (bring the tissue to the hospital in a clean container)
A fever higher than 100.4 degrees F
Dizziness or fainting
A history of tubal (or ectopic) pregnancy
Severe vomiting
Severe pain the abdomen or back
If you have any uncertainty about the need to contact your health care provider, call him or her immediately.
Spotting: Women experience spotting for various reasons: it can be as simple as ovulation, or more complex, as infections of the vagina, bladder, cervix or endometrium (uterine lining). Other possible causes include polyps, little fleshy growths in the uterus; cervical dysplasia, abnormal cells in the cervix; cancer; pregnancy complications; the wrong birth control pills or hormonal imbalances. miscarriage, or early pregnancy failure, is the expulsion of a fetus from the uterus before it has developed enough to survive on its own.
Most times, early pregnancy failure occurs because there is something wrong with the fetus, such as a severe defect or abnormality. When the fetus is not developing properly, hormone levels in a woman's body drops, and the pregnancy begins to disconnect and pass from her body.
Typical signs of early pregnancy failure include
slight vaginal bleeding or spotting
severe abdominal pain
severe cramps
dull lower-back ache, pressure, or pain
on-and-off lower abdominal or thigh pain
a change in vaginal discharge
Although these are common signs, not all miscarriages are painful, and many women have early pregnancy failure without knowing it.
Early pregnancy failure occurs in 15 to 40 percent of all pregnancies during the first 20 weeks. It's more likely to happen at the beginning of pregnancy. The likelihood diminishes as pregnancy goes on.
Hope this information helps!

its possible to have ur period within a 14week time span. Even when u are normally regular its possible to have ur period within a 2 week span. I think unless u think there is a good chance u can be pregnant u have nothing to worry about. i notice when i gain or loss weight i dont see my period for months until my weigh is stablized. i would suggest eating better and exercising..but if ur really worried see ur OB-GYN

honey any number of things can cause a woman's cycle to mess up. Stress is one. You're too young for menopause so we can rule that out. I wouldn't worry too much right now. But if you stay irregular then see your doctor to determine the cause. If there is really nothing wrong, he may put you on the birth control pill to make you regular. Good Luck
It means next moth your not going to have your period and also it may mean your having a baybe hurray!
