Get a fresh lemon, make hot lemonade and chew the zest as much as you can stand it. It is a very good, natural way to boost your immune system and help your body recover.

BTW, some people experience depression as a side-effect of Sudafed (me, being one of them).

Lots of fluids help. Rest is good. But I find one of the best ways to rid a cold is to take a B-complex vitamin and while you're sick to take a zinc lozenger. They work wonders. Be careful though because you don't want to OD on zinc. follow what the bottle says.

Well you know what they say.go to the doctor and the cold will last 7 days.wait it out and it will still last 7 days.so my advice is to get plenty of rest and keep away the stress! If you are coughing a lot, drink a cup of warm/hot water each morning and night. If you have stuffy nose, it's better to sleep on your side.it makes it easier to breathe. Bundle up too! Make sure that you are fully covered at night.don't leave your arms or legs outside because it gets cold at night and that might make it worse.

Zinc, Echinacea, Drink lots of juices that state on their label that they have 100% daily value vitamin C, Beta Carotene, and chicken soup. You can get lots of vitamin C without it affecting you adversely, getting it in juices is more natural than eating some chewable tablet, and chewable tablets may damage your teeth. Zinc boosts your immune system, as well as helps a lot of your other body's systems. Stay away from diet drinks they rip up your guts and turn into substances that can be deadly over time. Avoid soda all together because all they really are, are carbonated sugar water. Green Tea with Honey can be something else that's good to take. Green Tea flushes the system, and lemon and honey have been used for a long time to remedy sickness. Also, one other thing, Ginseng, there's a Ginseng complex that I take that has each of the different types of Ginseng in it. Taken over time can be shown to increase your immune response to colds.

Drink loads of water, cranberry juice, and orange juice. Increase your daily intake of FRESH fruits and veggies, and eat high-fiber whole grains--you must supply your body with extra vitC and vitE. Because a cold is a virus, and there's no cure for it, you must let your body fight it naturally--to help it along, SLEEP is the best thing to make it go away more quickly. While you're sleeping, you're body has the energy to fight the cold virus more vigorously. Good luck!

Plenty of rest and vitamin C (orange, lemon,.etc.)
