why is it that my heart has reccuring pains?

Question:
Me, mother, mother's friends and my friends are in a resort. While walking on an upward road, I begin to start pains. Is it stress triggering this bad condition?

Answers:
When you get pain in the heart or angina as it is called it is because the heart is not getting enough oxygen to the heart muscle. Exercising like walking up a hill, increases the amount of oxygen your body and heart needs. If it is not getting enough for some reason, like a blockage in a vessel of the heart, you will get pain. You need to see the doctor to find out why you are getting angina and to treat it. You can take some medicines for exercise induced angina that increase the blood flow. You need to find out why it is happening. Don't leave any pains in the chest unchecked

Could you just be suffering from stress? I know I get a lot of chest pain from what we call wind or trapped gas in the chest area. If this has been going on for some time I would advise going to the GP to get it checked out but in the mean time try to keep calm as worrying about it will only enhance the feelings you get and that won't help you. Try eating a mint and see if it passes for now and do try not to worry too much bu if you are concerned like I said get your doctor to check it out.

As above person said Angina is a probable cause. but.. you may be having a heart attack! You definately need to talk to your MD and have several cardiac tests performed.
Do not wait!

Question Asker - There are many things that can cause chest pains during physical exertion. The one about which we worry most is angina, a condition in which blockages in the coronary arteries prevent sufficient flow to your heart muscle during periods of stress. However, chest pains during activity can also be caused by things such as (but not limited to) asthma, reflux, esophageal spasm, or musculoskeletal pains. I can tell you that if your pain goes away with rest and you are not actively having chest pain, it is exceedingly unlikely that you are having a heart attack. However, in order to determine what the cause of your chest pains is, you need to allow a doctor to take a more complete medical history, do a physical exam, and order some tests. My recommendation to you is to take it easy and avoid any undue exertion until you can be seen by a physician. As long as you're only having the chest pains with activity, you don't need to rush to an emergency room this instant, but it should be taken care of in a timely manner. Good luck!
