Why do women feel so insecure?

Question:

They're always trying to look good so they can feel good, why?

Answers:
the only do it cuz when they look good, they DO feel good. and its not like men have to wear makeup and funk with hair. they just have to deal with it that women do.

First of all, when some one takes care of themselves to look good, don't you think that just means that they care about themselves? How would you feel if you had a girlfriend who was unkept, sloppy, or dirty?

I, personally don't feel that I'm insecure, but I do like to look my best most of the time.

I feel also that women have such pressure on them to look good for men because of all the commercial hype on actresses and models that men and their public audiences rave about.

Why do men do the same thing?? Some people are secure in their skins others are not. Some poeple work in an environment where looks sell and matter others do not. It depends on the person. You can't broadly define women as insecure. It's like saying why to all guys like muscle cars, football and pizza. Or wait that may be a bad analogy. ;-)

I feel the biggest reason why MOST women feel insecure is the constant barrage of images the media throws at you and me and her and them. Those images are supposed to define beauty, but remember my friend. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you beholdin some lady, let her know you only have eyes for her. That'll curb the insecurity for a bit.

Because women are critsized so frequently by men and other women. When you hear it around you all the time it's difficult to not imagine that some of it may be directed towards you.

boys r always judging and our self esteem lowers so thats one of the reasons why we try to look good another is because we like to feel clean and good and also try to impress boys not just by looks but by feelings. and we feel insecure because of putdowns
