Dye my hair and I want to stop?

Question:
I have natural light red or strawberry blonde hair. I dyed it light blonde but I want it natural again. Should I just stop dying it and let it all grow out or try to dye it back to my natural color? They don't seen to make a haircolor the same as mine. The strawberry blonde shade is darker than my color.

Answers:
the only way to get strawberry blonde is by a professional. We can combined blondes with small amounts of coppers to achieve the natural look. Also keep in mind that with strawberry blonde natural hair color, your hair varies in shades. Try getting a heavy foiled highlight and leaving some of those blonde ends and it will give a nice natural blend. Most people don't know this but natural red heads are made from 3-4 different colors. Some strawberry, some blonde, some auburn and sometimes a cinn or copper tone can be found all on the head of a natural redhead. Best of luck.

Your hairdresser should be able to mix you a colour that is about the same as yours.

Dye it as close as you can to your natural colour, then just let the roots grow in. If you just leave it how it is now and let it grow, it will be obvious that you dyed it when your roots come in, so dye it the closest colour.

If you have any pictures of your natural hair color you may want to take them in to your stylist. They can put a permanent color on your hair and it may take a couple of times before your hair is back to normal. Good Luck!

Initially dye it to the closest colour and then gradually when your roots start coming through you can just get the highlights of the colour that isnt quite right and then gradually get less and less untill its back to natural. Voila.

GO TO A Salon! i was a cosmetologist major and they can match any color even your roots. so that why when it grows out u dont have to deal with the roots. the best thing is to let it grow out a lil bit and cut off the chemically treated portion but im guessing you dont want short hair. :)

Grow it out some so your hair dresser can see the real color. Then they can fix and blend.

Wait until you have some natural growth of your real hair color. then go to a good Beauty Salon and ask for a "Dye Back." The hair dresser will know what this term means. and they can blend different hair dye colors together and make a single dye application that is very close to your own natural color. They will apply this and no one will ever know that you dyed your hair. Beauty Salons know how to mix several dye colors to create a color for your hair. You cannot get this in Wal-Mart or other stores. the commercial hair colors there are pre-set color dyes. and you take what you get. A good Beauty Salon will help you. Good Luck

In any good beauty and supply store they should carry a hair color stripper. If you apply that to your hair following the instructions on the box you will get youn natural hair color back. I can't tell you a price, because at the salon that I work at we buy it like 300 boxes at a time. Good luck!

I am going through the same problem. I have Blonde hair but dyed it brown. This is what my stylist told me to do..
Dye it back to a shade closest to your natural color and after that just let it grow. And the more often that you cut your hair, the more color you will cut off and the sooner it will be gone.
