i am experiencing sharp pains in my lower right abdomen, what could it be?

Question:
the pain is not consistent.. there are positions that increase the pain like sitting down or making sudden turns.. but when i am lying down or walking the pain disappears..

Answers:
I am glad that you asked this question.

When someone says the pain is sharp, I usually think of muscle or tendon problems (tendons connect muscles to bones). Since movement makes the pain worse and rest makes the pain go away, again I am thinking that this is probably muscle in nature.

You probably do not have appendicitis because appendicitis

1. have a fever

2. don't want to move at all

3. throw up

4. wouldn't be asking questions on yahoo.

I hope this helps. Take 1 or 2 ibuprofen or Tylenol and see if this helps. Also, it is always a good idea to see your doctor when you are having pain in your abdomen. If you are sexually active a pregnancy test is definitely needed.

Talk to your doctor.

Appendicitis? Maybe you have to get your appendix removed. Or maybe it's your ovaries.

Go see a doctor

Sounds like a tumor.

i had a pinching pain in my side for almost a year before i learned i was allergic to wheat flour. you could have celiac disease. you should look it up.all kinds of other side effects with it. always sleepy, breakouts, moody, feeling nautious, "stomach" problems, mouth sores. you never know.. maybe you just have an ulcer.
