Does cold temperatures affect knee replacements?

Question:
I had a TKA in 2001, due to infection they had to replace the knee replacement again in 2003, lately I have had severe pain in my replaced knee, I have to work outside periodically in cold temperatures, hey I live in Canada, and I am wondering if the cold weather is the cause?

Answers:
try wrapping it with Ace bandages and wearing "long johns" keep the knee as warm as possible

isn't that where your knee is artificial (not sure), but if it is, then you don't have normal circulation like if it was a normal knee, so therefore you have to provide the warmth instead, since the normal knee would normally do this

Other Answers:
yes .the weather effect it bad.

Yes dear the cold will from now on be a bit of a problem for you. Try to wear a knee pad under your clothes in the cold it should help to keepit warm and pain free.
