what causes a yeast infection and what can i do to stop the itching??someon. told me.?

Question:
to let a thing of yogert get room temperture and use that down where your yeast infection is at HAS anyone ever heard of that??

Answers:
Yes I have heard of this and know someone who has tried it. I think you need to make sure the yogurt you get is one with probiotics in it. I would want organic. I know that some of the less expensive yogurts don't have the probiotics. You want to look for the word acidophilus and bifidus at the very least. Yeast or Candida is also caused and made worse by eating too much sugar. I had a candida infection in my intestines and my natrapath put me on a no sugar low carb diet. I also took heavy probiotics. Make sure if you do use baby powder to stay dry get a unscented one.

Other Answers:
yes yogurt has the natural enzymes that are find in the vagina. They sale yeast infection creme over the counter. I have heard eating yogurt can prevent yeast infections as well. For quick relief I would use a yeast infection creme.

A yeast infection is an overgrowth of yeast. There are a lot of over the counter medicines for yeast infections. I have never heard of the yougurt thing, I found that sitting in a hot tub of water stops the itch somewhat. You also want to keep it as dry as possible and let it get air. Sometimes some cornstarch or baby powder in your underwear can help to because it will absorb extra moisture.

Yes, I have heard of using it down there as a douche, but have never tried it. I eat it 2x a day for 7 days and it works for me. Yeast infections are caused by a number of things. Antibiotics, increased PH, allergic reactions, elevated blood sugar levels, hormonal imbalances, etc. For more info see link.
