presuming you sick and did go to the hospital like you told your boss, you can show him a letter from the hospital or doctor which will be be easy to obtain.
If you lied to your boss, you are busted. You will probably now have a lot more time off than you bargained for.
I presume that you lied, since you would already have a note in hand, had you actually been admitted to the hospital, and therefore would not have had to ask this question. Fess up and face the consequences, and learn from them. Lose the lol attitude and see the seriousness of lying. Chances are, your boss knows you are lying, and has decided to call your bluff. You've only hurt yourself, because now your boss has a reason to doubt your sincerity, from here on out. But all is not lost. If you're not terminated, then start giving your boss reasons to once again rate you high as to your value to the company. Let your boss see you as an asset to the company, not the south end of a north-bound horse. If you are terminated, be truthful at all future job interviews. You can do this!
Everything that has been said before is what you should do. However, just as a theoretical answer. If one goes to the local ER, you will find that many people toss the material that the nurses give them when they leave in the first can they come to on the way out the door. One could take a look there. Not that it would be the right thing to do or any thing but just as a thought. (Grin)
