It's always more profittable to TREAT a disease than to cure it or prevent it.

There is no money in the cure! The pharmaceutical companies are not in the business of curing you of disease. They are in the business of making money! It was said in something that I've read that these drug companies won't stop until they get every American on some type of prescription drugs. It is panning out to be so true. The side affects alone is enough for me to run the other way. For all of your ills, take some pills. I've taken the holistic route and have never felt better!

I am HIV positive and my drugs cost me around 3000 dollars a month.. thats 36K a year times the million or so people that are currently on HIV meds. thats a lot of money. Sad to think that a vaccine is being held back because of the money

I would like to believe the drug companies first priority is to help people. The question could probably best be answered by the top AIDS researchers.
