For laser vision correction, would you prefer LASIK or PRK?

Question:

Answers:
LASIK, hands down. PRK is a much older version of refractive surgery and is very painful. LASIK can now be customized to a very high degree and is much safer as far as risk of infection, etc. If you're interested, ask your eye doctor for more information pertaining specifically to your eyes.

Other Answers:
Don't do either, and here's why:

My friend had the lasik procedure done on her eyes about 5 years ago. Since then, she has had a number of problems including halos when looking at light, difficulty reading objects nearby, and dry eyes. And PRK is, from what I've heard, not much better.

Save your money. Save your time. Be happy for who you are, and be glad that you even have the ability to see!

First, I'd want a professional good in either area, but personally, I would not have either. I know people who have had this surgery, and no one sees 100% and the surgery is not without problems - some permanent.
