i had the same experience before and checked it out with my doctor, i even had an ecg, but nothing is wrong with me, there's just a little vain that dislocates at times..couldnt really explain it but the doctor said to make it simple its like a sprain.Definitely go see your doctor. My best guess would be a fractured rib, since this has happened to me. And, believe it or not, it was simply by sneezing REALLY hard, that made me crack my rib. There's not a whole lot the doctor can do other than x-ray and prescribe something for the pain, but it is best to go anyway because you want to be sure that it sin't any other possible problem.

I concur with the broken rib guy. It is either a broken rib or a bruised rib. Does it hurt on the front and back of one side. DOes it hurt when you breath only. I have had it, I would get it xrayed to see if it is broken or bruised. If it is bruised, it will take about a month to stop hurting, pain pills, asprin, ibupropen, tylenol will help. But get it checked, if it is broken, you will need to see a doctor.please go see a doctor.
