Yoga for elderly?

what would happen to you if u didn't eat for 3 days?

Answers:
Yes! Yoga can be very beneficial for older people. It can not only help you get in or stay in shape, it can even help make everyday tasks, that can get more difficult with age, easier. I'm talking about things many of us take for granted like twisting to look in the backseat, walking up stairs, lifting up groceries or grandchildren, etc.

It is so important for people to stay in shape as they get older. At the gym I work at, many older people work out and it is easy to see who has kept themselves in shape and who hasn't. It makes such a difference! The ones who really work to stay in shape always look and act younger than those who have let themselves go for a while with little or no exercise.

Yoga and Pilates are both great ways to stay in shape or begin to get back in shape. Just remember to begin slowly and to listen to your body for cues to your limitations. Plus, make sure to learn from someone who is not only certified but who is experienced in fitness for the elderly. Also, remember that it may seem difficult at first but it will get easier and be so great for your body!

Yes it is very good.

Promotes balance, motor contol, and builds muscle mass.
It is also low impact, relaxing, can be practiced even by those who are non-ambulatory.
Good for arthritis since it strengthens the muscles to move them through the range with less efforts and helps to feed the non-vascular hyelin cartilage by circulation of the synovial fluid.
