Answers:
rather then a diagnosis, anemia is an expression of a symptom complex.anemia's are caused by either decreased production or increased destruction. you might need to test a little deeper. some red blood cells are miss shaped so they don't hold as much of the need materials as others or they may be fragile and break easy. RBC's are replaced every 120 days, common anemia's are acute blood loss, iron dif,vb12 dif, folic acid dif, marrow failure, sickle cell, thalassemia, infection or chronic inflammation.acute hemolysis. have your doctor or clinic do a hemoglobin with morphology its a much better tool to see whats causing your deficiency.so you might simply not be able to absorb whatever lacking,or it could be a DNA factor and its something that you live with.

Mother of 7 and I have to eat extra iron as well.

I hate iron tablets also. do a search online for foods that contain a high content of iron. I'm sure you can find some that you like that you can add to your diet. Good luck!

Who says you're anemic? Not to mention, there are other anemias besides iron deficiency anemia. Such as pernicious anemia, in which case you need shots of B12. You should see a doctor about health problems.
