Duck dont go it shows up in the water .

don't swim.
letting it run is not nice for the other people.

Im not a girl but i have daughters, they use a panty shield, it doesnt swell too big, but it keeps blood from seeping out noticably. If you are in a large pool, moving around you should be good. I wouldnt suggest soaking around in one spot though.

If you can't wear a tampon, you can't swim. =/ Even if you swim in a lake or river versus a public pool, your swimsuit will be ruined.

it's best if you just don't swim, because you seriously wouldn't want menstrual blood coming in the pool. I know that it sounds gross, but it will be worse if you see it. If you really really really want to risk it, then swim only with your arms. Keep those legs closed!

God! Dont swim if u dont wanna make people think a shark bit u!!

Don't go swimming, you will only end up getting embarassed

for some reason, my period always stops in water. but you may not be so lucky.

nope, your out of luck there. sorry hun

If I couldn't use a tampon then I wouldn't swim 'cos it's not nice for other people in the pool- what's your tampon problem?

Go ahead and swim your period will stop when you are in the water, just like when you take a bath. But when you get out of the water put a pad on in your bathing suit and remove it when you get back in the water.

dont go swimming in the pool. substitue with water ballons and hose instead? idk.

no swimming. noone wants blood surrounding them. yuck.

Why can't you wear a tampon?

If you can't wear a tampon, I wouldn't swim.

why are you unable to wear a tampon? i bet you could get away with wearing one of the junior size, they are really small and would work for just swimming then removing. you don't want to go in the water without because if you release a large amount there will be an embarrasing red trail following you in the water.

Don't swim. It will show up in the water and if others are around and see it, the words really embarrassing comes to mind. Think about it.

Have you ever sat in a bathtub while on your period? Yeah its gross dont go swimming, sorry. I learned my lesson and only take showers now, although it can still be gross! Its not always fun beihng a girl.

Don't swim if you can't wear a tampon.

don't swim.

I would swim when you are doing something active the leakage slows down dramatically.

Depends how comfortable you are with wearing a pad in your swim suit. The pad should work, although it'll end up a bit soggy, but if you're worried about leaking etc then maybe don't go swimming for the first few days, when you're period's heaviest and then use a pad after that.
Have a chat to your pharmacist about what pads would be best - there must be some kind of option for people who can't use tampons but still want to swim.

I have heard that blood doesn't flow when you are in the water, but I think that is a myth. If you flowing lightly, I would go ahead with it. Just make sure you wipe really good, push all the blood out as much as you can before you go into the water. (IF you are lightly flowing)

If you are heavy flowing, I wouldn't risk it.

Do not swim, its just embarrasing.I mean last year it was blazing hot the best day of the year and I couldn't go swimming because of that.Just live like that.

If you aren't wearing a tampon, then dont go. I dont think there is any other way around it.

Don't swim. It is not good for other people.
