can I get contraceptives without a prescription in Belgium?

Question:
British citizen, just moved to belgium, want to know how to go about getting contraceptives here.

Answers:
I'll give you an answer based on my logic, as a pharmacist. Belgium is under the EU law and contraceptives are classified as POM. So, you shouldn't be able, at the moment that e-commerce in medicines is not valid in the Union.
I am curious if there is a way. When I was studying abroad I could make use of a specific certificate that we can take before living our countries from the insurance case where I was registered and have access to health services. This is valid for all European citizens. I wonder if in Europe Direct, the free service of the EU can give you information on that.Do you want to try if you don't take more valid information here?
Another solution is to go in a local pharmacy and ask them directly.
