niccotine is a stimulant, so is sex. when a stimulant is used while a person is already stimulated it has an adverse affect and calms the nerves. Much like smoking after a real stressfull situation.

The French call the orgasm, "Les petite morte," which means, 'the little death'. I supppose one cigarette has the same effect. Nothing like topping off a nice piece of *** with a smelly "butt".
Personally speaking from experience, it is a habit. People freguently smoke before they eat as well as after they eat. They also smoke before they go to bed and when they wake up in the middle of the night, so why not before or after sex? Its just a habit. Hope that helps!
not sure it may just be another habit smoking after eating etc
