have you played sick?

Question:

Answers:
Occasionally I take a "sick of work" day just to make my vacation days last longer. I also call them "mental health days" because if I don't take off work sometimes I feel like I'm going to fall apart.

Other Answers:
yes many times! :)

No my mom would still send me to school!

Not since I entered the work force, but when I was in elementary school, I could work myself into a fever before a test, and be convincing enough that even my RN Mom thought I was really sick.

After 3 months of consistently getting ill before every big test, my Mom started doing pre-tests with me, because my "playing sick" was actually an anxiety attack from the stress of the upcoming test. After I was able to anticipate what the test would contain, and what was expected of me, I didn't get "sick" before tests so much!

yes would like to play sick more often. So that my husband could understand what it is like to be at home with 3 kids all day. I love them but all the fighting and yelling is a bit much sometime.

only once in high school and when my mom came home and found me dancing in the living room to my records she looked at me and said OK.that one..no more fake sick days for you.!

no- i have been sick for almost 7 months! People think I play but I am not! I would give anything to be health. I am going to have my illness for the rest of my life but I try to live best as I can. I think no one should take their ablitiy for granted! Some people would give anything to be able to do what people are too lazy to do! If you are health-comeon, get over yourself and thank God you are!

I think we all have in our lifetime.

I have

Yes! When I was young I went to the office at school and said I didn't feel good. The nurse wanted to take my temp. A guy that I knew was sitting in the office getting in trouble as usual. He said, "Give me that thermometer." He rubbed it on his jeans a few times, stuck it back in my mouth. (I know, ewe gross) Anyway, the nurse came back. She checked and sure enough my mom was called cause I had a temp of 107 degrees. Yep, your right, when I got home my butt was 107 degrees for a week.. That was the last time I played sick!

Just Me!:)

sure!! hasn't everybody?

More often now that I'm in college cuz I don't have to convince my parents. :-P

Quite frankly, people are more understand if you say, "I had the flu" than if you said, "I was too depressed to get out of bed."

plenty of times
