well it can be dysfunctional Sacro iliac joint, it causes pain in the hip, and mostly there are normal xrays. consult a physiotherapist.

Other Answers:
have you ever had a nerve conduction test.I had the same problem for over 3 yrs.I had a nerve test done and they can give you literature on how to ease the pain. There is no cure for what I have, because of it being involved with nerves.

You need a 2nd or 3rd opinion. Go see another orthopedic doctor or maybe try a Chiropractor.

If you have a bad pain in one butt-cheek, it is called sciatica and comes from back problems. The cure is lots of rest. If you do not let it heal completely.give it a couple of days past when it stops hurting.it comes right back. It will heal fine if you can rest long enough.and just take it easy and get your rest from then on and you will be fine. Sciatica causes are related to the integrity of your connective tissue and certain foods can help, like jello.
