Good news about the CPR Mouth Shield. My State Rep. said he WOULD sponsor bill requiring shields be posted!?

Question:
I'm from Georgia. Maybe you guys who care about this could contact YOUR state Rep. to see if a similar bill could be sponsored in other states. I'd like to go national with this. They are SO inexpensive (Red Cross sells them for about $10 but they are cheaper on-line. Get the one that comes with gloves.) so it wouldn't put a big burden on business owners. If you know CPR, then YOU should carry protection with you as well. Thanks!

Answers:
Glad to hear it. I carry a shield in my car, and another tiny one on my keychain.

What you're doing is wonderful.

Other Answers:
They give you a couple when you complete the CPR certification course here in my area, so almost everyone who has been trained around here already has a few on hand.

How would the shield be required by law, though?

I mean, the shields are already readily available. People who know CPR should already know about them and understand how and why the shields are used. Couldn't require us all to always be carrying one. That's ridiculous

What would be required by a law? That CPR could only be performed using a shield? Come on.

Or require that the shields be available everywhere somehow? How on earth would that work?

Yes the shields are a good idea, but no just don't see how a national law on them would accomplish anything.
