Can caffeine make you skinnier?

Question:
I have been drinking a ton a diet coke lately to help me stay awake longer and focus better for studying, but I noticed after a few days of it I was skinnier than normal. If it means anything I have only been getting three hours of sleep, and I have woken up sweating like crazy.

Answers:
The sweating is beacuse it has upped your metabolism. SO yes it does. They sell green tea extract for diet purposes, when ephedra was pulled form the market green tea extract was added to diet pills. You have to be careful cuz you set yourself up for heart attack etc. Plus you definitely need more sleep. I suggest you alternate caffeine-free diet coke so u get some sleep!

Other Answers:
no, caffeine actually makes you fatter. but maybe you are losing weight because you haven't been sleeping. you have to sleep at least 8 hours. and if you can't do that you want to sleep as many as possible.

Caffine is a stimulant that supresses the appitite. Also if you are staying up, you are burning calories just by being awake. I will tell you this though, the older you get the less likely this will happen. Matabolism slows down to a snails pace after the age of twenty five. Enjoy it now while it lasts! It wont matter how much caffine you consume!

if ur not eating and drinking DIET coke. 1st of all, No. It has no calories so it doesnt make u gain weight, but if uve been ONLY drinking that. yes, u are going to lose weight.

Caffine doesn't help you loose weight! Thats a Myth!
Caffine will cause anxiety, panic attacks, increase heart rate, lack of sleep (insomnia) and fluid retention! It's actually pretty dangerous. But if you are looking for a good way to loose weight try eating fruit and vege, cut ur carbs and excercise 1/2 hr a day!
