i cant really direct you to different stores because i dont know what stores are around where you live.
usually dresses dont cost 110 until you go to homecoming so dont bother spending that much. try to look for something that has small straps at the top, and that will cover you really well. make sure that it's tight, becase if it's not then it might show something when your dancing. since you're young you can get away with wearing almost every color. if you want to stand out get something pink, or bright colored. if you want to just fit in with everyone else then choose some mild colors like light blue. try to avoid black because chances are the dance will be dark and you'll be invisible! (or atleast all my dances are dark) wear incredibly confortable shoes. or even slippers! slippers might look somewhat awkward, but by the end of the day you will feel like the luckiest girl in the dance!
also remember your hair, nails, and makeup (but rememeber you're also young.) dont over-do anything!!
love ya! hope i helped
by the way im 16, so dont think im 68 telling you how to dress..

If you have a DEB store nearby, they have relatively inexpensive dresses. I just got a real nice one for my freshman/sophomore semi for $60
try looking around at http://www.satineboutique.com/ they have the hottest new styles
