It depends.it could be a few things. But you should go and see a doctor. I went to the doctor about 1 month ago because I was having to pee a lot. There was a burning sensation down there when I did.and it hurt A LOT! I felt like I had to pee every five minutes. So I went to the doctor and found out that I had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). But thats not the worst part.it had gotten so bad it spread into my kidneys really bad, they almost had to hospitalize me for an IV. The doctor put me on antibiotics for a week to see if that would get rid of it and at the end of the week, it was gone. You should go get it checked out just incase!
It is called POLYURIA. It is associated with so many conditions like
1. Diabetes Insipidus (Kidneys can't reabsorb water due the deficiency of anti-diuretic hormone(ADH)
2. Diabetes Mellitus ( because of high solute conc. in the filtrate water is excreted along with that
3. If you have any Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), then polyuria may be an initial symptom.
