what is exfoliate?

Question:

Answers:
It is the act of removing a layer of (presumably) dead skin cells. It is best done carefully, however, because you can also damage live cells if you are too harsh. Years ago there used to be a thing called a Buff Puff sold, which was supposed to exfoliate the skin. I asked a cosmetologist about that one time, and she said I should use them on my pots and pans! She's right; they greatly resembled Scotch Brite!
